An Interview with Aurélie Godet
What is your discipline?
Mostly cable wakeboarding but I also ride behind the boat.
What are your favorite things to do outside of wakeboarding?
I like doing sports, traveling, shopping and listening to music.
Where is your favorite place to ride?
So far my favorite is Liquid Leisure Cable Park, but there are so many places I haven’t been to yet and can’t wait to check out.
If you never had a career in wakeboarding, what would you be doing?
Wakeboarding is the only thing I’m sure of.
What is the best memory you’ve had so far in your wakeboarding career?
There have been so many happy moments and great memories right from the beginning. Lots of great matches and very intense moments in competition; but the most extraordinary memory would have to be taking 2nd at my debut event, FISE World in Montpellier.
How long have you been riding for O’Brien?
I have been with O’Brien France for 5 years.
What’s the best thing about riding for O’Brien
The people involved especially Alex, the team manager of O’Brien France. He has taken care of everything for me. He introduced me to the brand, what they did and what they represented. I feel very lucky to have this relationship with O’Brien and want to do what I can to help promote and grow the brand.
Who would you like to thank?
Thanks to O’Brien for trusting me and standing by me. I also want to thank my family who has supported and encouraged me since the beginning.
