COVID-19 and O’Brien: In the midst of everything going on, O’Brien Watersports is still up and running. As some of you know, our headquarters are based just outside of Seattle in Snoqualmie, WA and on March 23rd the governor mandated a stay-at-home order. Prior to the announcement, we made the necessary changes so that we are capable of working from home, which is what we’ll be doing until the situation improves. All of our daily operations are still functional with the exception of customer service being able to receive phone calls (if you leave a message, they will call you back). Alternatively, we recommend that you reach out to them via email at CustomerService@obrien.com for faster and more efficient assistance.
For anyone who has placed orders recently, there is no need to worry. We are still capable of processing and shipping orders from our warehouse in Texas and will continue to do so until further notice. As things change, we will do our best to keep you informed. Until then, stay safe and we can’t wait to see you back out on the water.
Built for comfort and mobility, the O’Brien Men’s Flex V-Back features wide armholes, segmented panels with multiple hinge points and the Flex V-Back stretch panel to allow the life jacket to move with your body. Its BioLite construction adds breathability for faster drying and it is lighter and more environmentally friendly than traditional neoprene, while still providing exceptional comfort. With its full front zip closure and two concealed, adjustable belts, the Men’s Flex V-Back is easy to get into and provides a very secure fit. This is the ultimate life jacket for maintaining a maximum range of motion while still providing the safety that you need on the water.

The Right Size – One seemingly common misconception is that life jacket sizing falls in line with your favorite t-shirt. It doesn’t. Please use the size chart in the image gallery above to accurately determine the appropriate size for your life jacket.
The Right Fit – Life jackets should be snug, but not so tight that it impacts your breathing. If you are in-between sizes, most people tend to choose the larger size for a snug fit that isn’t too tight.
For more information on how your life jacket should fit, please watch the video below.
*Please note that as we transition our inventory to the new Harmonized U.S. Coast Guard/Transport Canada approval rating, some of our life jackets will ship with the traditional USCG approval while others will have the harmonized designation.
