Tarah Mikacich

Tarah's story on how she got into watersports: I grew up water skiing since I was really young (my parents owned a ski school). Then in my early twenties, I decided to give wakeboarding a try. I remember thinking how cool it was that you could pretty much ride anywhere, like you didn’t need a specific course, and all your friends could come along. People were very inclusive… they would find out that I was wakeboarding, and would be like, “You wakeboard? We wakeboard too! You want to come ride with us?” And immediately I had new people to ride with! Amazing! And mostly, I just love how it feels to be on the water. It’s hard to describe - it’s my favorite!
